Frequently Asked Questions
Got questions? We've got answers! Below are common questions about the Star Wars Legion League.
What is the Star Wars Legion League?
The Star Wars Legion League is a narrative, community-driven league where players relive the major battles of The Clone Wars over five months. We're not here to be hyper-competitive — we're here to push some great-looking models across the table, tell a story together, and have a great time doing it. New players are absolutely welcome!
Do I need experience to join?
Not at all! This league is designed to be welcoming to players of all skill levels. If you're brand new to Star Wars Legion, come to a game night and someone will be happy to teach you a game. The most important thing is that you love Star Wars and want to have fun.
How do I join the league?
Send a direct message to the league organizer on The Game Corner Discord expressing your interest. Once we have at least eight players, entry fees will be collected and the league will kick off. Entry is $35, which goes toward the prize pool and league materials.
Once signed up, head to the Player Submission Page to create your player profile. You can add your army list at any time — it's not required to sign up.
How long does the league run?
Season 1 runs from May 4, 2026 through September 11, 2026 — about five months. There are six battle game nights spaced roughly three weeks apart, giving plenty of time to schedule your games and participate in fringe events.
What are the battle dates?
Game nights are on Saturdays where possible. The six battle dates are:
- Battle 1 — First Battle of Geonosis: May 4
- Battle 2 — Second Battle of Geonosis: May 23
- Battle 3 — Third Battle of Kamino: June 14
- Battle 4 — Invasion of Coruscant: July 11
- Battle 5 — Battle of Utapau: August 1
- Battle 6 — Battle of Kashyyyk: August 22
The last day to get any game in is September 11, 2026. Plan ahead — some dates are not Saturdays!
How do the teams work?
Players are divided into two teams: The Republic and The Separatists. You are not required to play those factions — but if you do, you'll be assigned to the matching team automatically.
Each battle period, every player plays one required game on game night, plus any number of optional fringe games against the opposing team. The team that wins the most games for a battle claims that planet. The team that wins the most planets at season's end wins Season 1!
What are Fringe Events?
Fringe Events are special bonus games announced throughout the season with a 2–4 day window to participate. Each one has a unique narrative gimmick tied to the current battle — for example, the Republic might need to fight through a spaceship map to rescue the Chancellor from General Grievous' Invisible Hand.
Fringe games count toward your team's battle standings and are a great way to earn extra wins for your side. There's even a prize for the player who plays the most fringe games!
How is the leaderboard calculated?
Players are ranked by win percentage, then by total Victory Points scored, with Kill Points as the final tiebreaker. Rankings are updated weekly after each game night. Stats are calculated automatically from submitted and approved match results.
How do I submit a match result?
Head to the Submit Match page and fill out the form with both players, their factions, Victory Points, Kill Points, who went first, and which battle it was for. The winner is calculated automatically — Kill Points are used as a tiebreaker if Victory Points are equal.
Submitted matches go to a league organizer for approval before appearing on the leaderboard.
Do I need a fully painted army?
Nope! Unpainted, partially painted, or fully painted armies are all welcome. That said, there is a Best Painted Army prize up for grabs — so if you've been putting the hobby time in, it could pay off!
Are proxy models allowed?
Yes! Just make sure the proxy is as close as possible to the official model in terms of base size and footprint. Before your game, let your opponent know which proxy represents which unit — clear communication keeps everything running smoothly.
What if I can't make it to a game night?
Life happens! Each battle has a window of time to get your game in, so you have flexibility beyond just the game night itself. The last day to submit any game for the season is September 11, 2026. If you have a scheduling conflict, reach out early and communicate with your opponent — we're all here to have fun, not stress over scheduling.
How do I update my player profile or army list?
Go to the Player Submission Page and resubmit your profile with any updated information. Your army list is optional and can be added or updated at any time.

- Bring them in and teach them a game of Star Wars Legion on a league night.
- They purchase a Star Wars Legion Starter Kit (they can use your 15% league discount).
- They pay the prorated entry fee of $20.00.
